East Sussex Disabled People's Participation Group (DPPG)

The Disabled People’s Participation Group (DPPG) has been set up by East Sussex County Council Adult Social Care and Children’s Services Departments and East Sussex Primary Care Trusts to enable disabled people to have their say about social care, health and children’s services in the county.  If you are interested in getting involved, please read on …

By disabled people we mean anyone who encounters barriers in their daily lives because of mobility, sight or hearing impairment, learning difficulty, disfigurement or mental health issues.  It also includes those for whom a chronic illness or condition results in disability, which may cover people with ‘hidden’ impairments or conditions who may not necessarily consider themselves ‘disabled’.

The DPPG is interested in hearing what you think about:

There will be times when everyone who is a member of the DPPG will be invited to events so that you can comment on the services you receive from the Primary Care Trusts, Adult Social Care or Children’s Services.  However, it is also important that you are able to comment on the services and issues that particularly affect you.

If you would like to join the DPPG and have your say about health and social care services, you can do this by contacting East Sussex Disability Association (ESDA) by telephone on 01323 514500 or by e-mail at info@esda.org.uk
